Wave Could Redefine Google email and web communication?
Google promised to deliver something spectacular on the second day the Google I / O conference, and will not disappoint. Google just announced Google Wave, a new browser in communication and collaboration tool that is already considered by some as the next evolution of email. Yes, Google is potentially Wave edge.
Created by two of the guys behind Google Maps with a small team in Sydney, the concept behind Google wave is "unified" communication on the web. It is a hybrid of email, web chat, instant messaging, and project management software. It has the capability of reproducing the talks because it records the full sequence of communication, character by character. Because of this, the discussion also lives in Google-wave: you will see the character type of character your friend.
The key is the faster line of communication. Placement of documents, as it does in the email, it is not necessary with Google Wave. Real-time conversations and collaboration that is an ideal tool for business teams as well. Imagine an entire office files that Google opened Wave quickly share and receive. It combines some of the favorite aspects of the people of many different web communication tools.
Suddenly I began to dream of the day Google waves could solve many of my web development issues. Google Wave could allow a team to work directly with clients and real time during user acceptance test phase in any development project site. If we have the ability to see the proposed changes in real time and apply the modifications that the customer sees that happens, it could save valuable time and money.
Google is the wave of wave of the future?
Google aims to be the Wave future of Gmail e-mail, instant messaging, and Google Docs, all in one. E-mail has been around for about 40 years now. In fact, predates to the Internet for the sake of a few years and even the finest Live Mail or MobileMe system in the world still looks much like the system introduced every year. So if Ain t broke, do not fix t, right? Err, wrong. Google recognizes that email is more like the outdated forms of communication too closely. The email is basically an electronic representation of how the postal service works, but is faster, cheaper much less likely to stay in the back of the store somewhere. So the Internet monster Google is working on the wave, a rethinking of the whole e-mail idea.
Google is the wave of wave of the future?
Although I was not invited to participate in the wave, I've been following your progress. A number people have posted their impressions of the wave so that others can see. The question is this really the next evolution of communications. On the one hand, is clearly a new way of thinking about the talks and dialogue between participating. However, it seems to lack any ability to support intimate conversation. As well public or non-intimate forum, which seems to do a good job. I question the value of the type to see others of their responses in real time. I think this would be an unnecessary burden communications network to a minimum. On the other hand, I might change my mind if you invite me for trial!
During the Google I / O opening Google engineering vice president, Vic Gundotra, presented a grand vision for the direction of Google sees the web heading over to the HTML 5 standard. While we are not there yet, toda la onda Google Drips with ambition. Communication A new dawn is upon us
Android Phone Fans – Wave and Google Gadgets you can play games like Sudoku and recessed in a wave: So how does this fit in Android? Well … that runs on mobile phones … like cell Google Android … and demonstration of Google in a Wave device Android and iPhone. Awesomeness Holy See and the world-to-be-taken-overness! Now you're probably asking: "Where do I sign?" Good question … and I have the answer: https: / / services.google.com / fb / forms / wavesignup / Google Wave is looking crazy.
Google could say goodbye to twitter?
The Google Maps team, led by Lars Rasmussen, Jens, have developed an application to enable people to communicate and work together with the wealth of formatted text, photos, videos, maps and other tools, all within a standard browser. I think Twitter Fan assigns could leave "not" because of Google Wave. This seems to be one of the best web based app built in recent years. Probably Facebook will be a murderer too.
Who will ride the wave of Google?
Twitter / Facebook on steroids. I can certainly see the uses and exist in project management, event management, news exchange and decision making in a crisis situation and so on. If people do applications, so that even then who knows what else?
As you know, Google released a flood of 100,000 invites preview Google wave to the last day or so, giving the bleeding edge early adopters and those addicted to information of a new playground for the exchange of real-time conversations. After months of hibernation and anticipation, the arrival of the wave has languages around the world moving as all get an early look Google's plans to redefine messaging, offer a real time platform, which includes rich media and extensibility across devices.
From Wave introduction earlier this year, I've seen a number of different ways the product has been described. From a new development platform for collaboration suite business or a (insert name of popular social service here) murderer, speculation has gone too far. Curiously, however, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Lars Rasmussen Wave defined as "a modern version of e-mail", adding that email is an "old technology". Hence, makes more sense at this point, watch the preview of the wave of Google as a potential replacement or enhancement of existing systems and e-mail, including Gmail.
Who is excited about Google Wave?
I am very excited about Google Wave. I think of convergence in a network based on the platform e-mail, chat, blogs, social networking and collaboration is to show what is the beginning of Web 3.0 initiatives.
I'm really looking forward to Google Wave. One of the least discussed aspects that are particularly attractive to me is the potential for this to create a web identity everywhere.

Do I need a career change if I do not like Web 2.0?
I have a degree in computer science. My interest in technology has diminished in recent years. I am one of the few people who never used smart phones, text messaging, Facebook, Twitter, etc. I know Web 2.0 is, but I thinking in general. I think that was just marketing, not technology. It's the kind of thing that I tried to avoid in SA. For me it's like using tweeting Abercombie & Fitch, is great because everyone does. I am a subcontractor who does things related to web development, but eventually the fact that I'm outdated technology will be exposed. Should I stop doing all that related, and if so what should I do instead? I like math and science in general. I could have done some engineering or math related, but I ended up in computer science.
This is an interesting question. I've been in business for 20 years and am currently a programmer / systems analyst. I use Facebook, but I do not use Twitter and do not own a cell phone. Just because you did not use specific "hot" technology does not mean they are not interested in technology. For me, Twitter is an interesting idea, I tried, I see where it could be valuable, but I do not need in my life. Being in the technology field I feel I have to understand the latest technologies, but that does not mean you have to use them forever. So you have to wonder if they are dis-interested in technology in general or just that they are not specific things that are simply not need for one.
