At 46 you may still have chances of getting a job in the IT field?
I am currently making $ 8 / h, and stariving as auditor (hotel). What are the chances I have at my age to get into the IT field quickly? I have to study 6 months to get a job. Please tell us BVE is easier? Web Development? Administrator? DBA? I need a fast track. Too old to learn that for years. PS: I only know a little HTML.
Yes, there is now a clear "second chance" careers in IT. Many small businesses hire "second chance" Junior Colleges staff. We have more than a couple of requests a year to staff our customers. We have an agreement with a local JC loose with a good technical program when you need people who come to their best students for interviews. Most companies want you to be hired beyond the basic level classes With a little advanced network programming, operating systems, security, etc. Smaller companies (some quite large) needs more discipline staff that can handle the scheduling, security, server operating and support to end users. People with business knowledge and skills audit, as a advantage. Two to four classes at a JC and a new world opens for you. $ 15 to $ 20 at the beginning and up depending on their value to the company and monitoring requirements (or lack not ..).
