Web Development?
Looking at Devry Computer Systems with a focus on Web development and administration. Im currently doing sales and customer service and looking for a change. I've always been interested in the internet, I am very computer savy and I thought it was a good choice. First. Devry is recognized by most employers? Second. What kind of jobs / pay Would you be able to enter this field?
DeVry is a good choice. This is a school recognized national level. I worked for two global big, big software companies whose names are known. Both developers hired DeVry. Right out of school with that degree, you can get a job as a software developer / software engineer / programmer / analyst programmer. At the entry level are all the same work. Later in his career could continue acrhitect Opportunities like software, team leader, project manager, software, etc. Development is a great avenue to follow. There are few other jobs in the United States where you can work 9 to 5 and potentially earn $ 100K + with only a bachelor's degree. It is interesting and challenging. Yes, definitely there is $ 100 000 + jobs if you have talent, keep learning and bring much experience to the table. The degree just gives you a chance to get your foot in the door. And that's all you need. Once you hit the job market very few employers care how much you have or what school you've earned a. While school and learn your stuff will have no trouble finding a job. It has to do with the skill set and experience. I can not emphasize enough. You can expect graduate with an average starting salary of $ 35 to $ 50 thousand, in place, the labor market and other knowledge to contribute. For example, my current work focuses on building software for the pharmaceutical sales industry. You have experience in sales which means has special expertise in a given market. that may or may not be able to use the knowledge in his career as software. Selete you have a good program in a good school. Feel free to email / IM if you have more specific questions. Good luck!

Art of Java Web Development $30.67 A guide to the topics required for state of the art Web development, this book covers wide-ranging topics, including a variety of web development frameworks and best practices. Beginning with coverage of the history of the architecture of Web applications, highlighting the uses of the standard web API to create applications with increasingly sophisticated architectures, developers are led through a discussion on the development of industry accepted best practices for architecture. Described is the history and evolution towards this architecture and the reasons that it is superior to previous efforts. Also provided is an overview of the most popular Web application frameworks, covering their architecture and use. Numerous frameworks exist, but trying to evaluate them is difficult because their documentation stresses their advantages but hides their deficiencies. Here, the same application is built in six different frameworks, providing a way to perform an informed comparison. Also provided is an evaluation of the pros and cons of each framework to assist in making a decision or evaluating a framework on your own. Finally, best practices are covered, including sophisticated user interface techniques, intelligent caching and resource management, performance tuning, debugging, testing, and Web services. |

Business Aspects of Web Services (Hardcover) $80.9 Driven by maturing Web service technologies and the wide acceptance of the service-oriented architecture paradigm, the software industry`s traditional business models and strategies have begun to change: software vendors are turning into service providers. In addition, in the Web service market, a multitude of small and highly specialized providers offer modular services of almost any kind and economic value is created through the interplay of various distributed service providers that jointly contribute to form individualized and integrated solutions. This trend can be optimally catalyzed by universally accessible service orchestration platforms – service value networks (SVNs) – which are the underlying organizational form of the coordination mechanisms presented in this book. Here, the authors focus on providing comprehensive business-oriented insights into today`s trends and challenges that stem from the transition to a service-led economy. They investigate current and future Web service business models and provide a framework for Web service value networks. Pricing mechanism basics are introduced and applied to the specific area of SVNs. Strategies for platform providers are analyzed from the viewpoint of a single provider, and so are pricing mechanisms in service value networks which are optimal from a network perspective. The extended concept of pricing Web service derivatives is also illustrated. The presentation concludes with a vision of how Web service markets in the future could be structured and what further developments can be expected to happen. This book will be of interest to researchers in business development and practitioners such as managers of SMEs in the service sector, as well as computer scientists familiar with Web technologies. The book`s comprehensive content provides readers with a thorough understanding of the organizational, economic and technical implications of dealing with Web services as the nucleus of modern business models, which ca |
