These days, smaller organizations that sell tickets for events no longer need to use a pencil and paper method to record ticket sales or services of one undertaking from main ticket selling their tickets. Currently there are a number of ticketing software systems available that offer an inexpensive management not only buy tickets through the box office, but sales through website and sales through agents or distributors of others.

Cost
In general, providers of ticketing systems at the box office or sell the software or apply a fully organized system where leading processor of payment of bills and are installed on the servers of the suppliers. In order to recover development costs, system vendors can charge software several thousand dollars for his system, but in general would be a burden, once outside, apart from maybe a maintenance contract or additional costs for upgrades software. For small and medium-sized organizations, however, fully hosted system can be a more appropriate choice, since in this case, the service providers burden solely on the basis of each ticket sold through the system, which may be a dollar per ticket charge or a percentage of the ticket price. Rates under this system can vary from about $ 0.50 per ticket, or about 2% rise in ticket prices depending on additional services that are provided, such as handling of payments by credit card or shipment is impossible tickets.

Payment Processing
In order to sell tickets in line. an organization must have a payment gateway and Internet merchant account setup, which links to the homepage of ticket sales. In many of cases, of course, a small organization to be established, these plants could not build these facilities. They, however, a large number of service providers Gateway, which charge a small transaction fee or perhaps a percentage of the transaction amount to provide the service gateway between shopping buy merchant account from the financial institution. There are also other organizations such as PayPal, which can be used quite easily, not requiring a gateway payment or a merchant account to be established.

Of course it is also possible to sell tickets online, even without such a system configuration payment. In this case, when customers buy a ticket online, be given a voucher number which then carry the seat before an event and then full pay for the tickets have been ordered, the bond is exchangeable for real bills.

Ticket printing
As a specialized printer Thermal ticket, such as those manufactured by Boca Systems, is the ideal situation, since they print individual entries from special ticket reservations, the cost of these unfortunately printers is much higher than a normal LaserJet printer or ink-jet – normally more than $ 1,000 may be beyond the budget of small organizations not include a large number of entries per year. Fortunately some of the ticketing systems at the box office for tickets will be printed with a normal LaserJet inkjet or easily obtained using letter-sized perforated blank tickets that usually print four or five entries per page. No matter what system be used however, most taking systems allow for some customization in terms of what can be printed on the tickets, such as logos or images, etc

Web site integration
Most systems box office tickets using one of two methods to integrate the selection of tickets and payment processing on a website. First, a few lines of code can be inserted into a web page in the existing website of the organization, and this code is responsible for all ticket sales and output of the process without leaving the organization website (unless a payment processor like PayPal is used). The other method is that a website is built with the look and feel of websites own organization, just as the code is also inserted into this template page but in this case the real website is on a different server and is linked to the website of the organization of a hyperlink. In most cases, the user not being aware that he had been transferred to a different site to manage seat selection and payment.

Of course, every organization also has additional requirements, such as the ability to handle season tickets, sell tickets for additional outlets to sell gift cards or Flex Pass to accept donations, etc., and each box office ticketing system will have slightly different features included. Notwithstanding the above four considerations probably encompass major concern for any organization contemplating a new box office ticketing system. But as explained above, none of these should be an obstacle for any organization wishing to manage their own tickets online, and benefit from additional operating system can provide its own instead of using an organization ticket service.
